Resilience Tech: Inclusive Innovation for Safety & Defense

Femmegineering is Sigma’s global initiative dedicated to building a community of female tech professionals, contributing to a more equitable and inclusive tech industry. We achieve this through inspirational events, sharing career stories, and fostering partnerships.

Join Us on April 21:

On 21 April, Femmegineering by Sigma in Gothenburg invites you to a morning where technology, society, and security meet. As the world faces rapid geopolitical shifts, accelerating innovation within safety and defense has never been more important. But true resilience isn’t built on technology alone; it grows from inclusive collaboration across industries, sectors, and perspectives.

At this breakfast event, we bring together leaders, innovators, and engineers from across the Gothenburg region and Europe to explore how civil–military innovation, diverse teams, and human‑centered design can strengthen Sweden’s resilience.

Our panel speakers are:

  • Daria Yaniieva, PhD – Investment Director, Sigma Software Labs, and board member of Defence Builder, Ukraine’s private accelerator in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense
  • Ellen Rooth-Hornsby – Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion Lead, Saab
  • Erik Ezelius (S) – Member of Parliament, member of the Defense Committee, professional officer, Västra Götaland

Open to All: This event is open to everyone, regardless of gender, because resilience and inclusive innovation are challenges we need to solve together. Bringing diverse voices and perspectives to the table can create more inclusive solutions.
